BYOK — Anthropic setup

What you need

- An Anthropic account at console.anthropic.com.
- A live API key with budget set.
- Pro plan or higher on Niyra.

Steps

1. console.anthropic.com → Settings → API Keys → Create Key.
2. Name it niyra-byok (anything works, but you'll thank yourself when rotating).
3. Copy the key (only shown once).
4. Niyra: Settings → BYOK → Anthropic → paste key → Save.
5. Hit Test. You should get a green check within 2 seconds.

What it unlocks

- Apex mode (Opus 4 / Fable 5) per conversation.
- All Sonnet calls run on your account when BYOK is active for the convo.
- Your Niyra credits stop ticking for LLM in those convos.

Rotation

When you rotate:

1. Create new key in console.
2. Replace in Niyra's BYOK panel.
3. Wait ~60s for in-flight requests to drain.
4. Disable / delete old key in console.

Spending caps

Set a monthly cap in the Anthropic console. Niyra respects it — when you're near the cap, the conversation pauses with a clear message instead of silently failing.
